Images of buildings captured during our city tour in New Orleans

The buildings and architecture reveals the history and multicultural heritage of New Orleans. The city is known for it's world famous  unique architectural styles. The Creole cottages in the French quarter are built between 1790-1850. These cottages are one and a half storey with steeply pitched roof and a wood exterior set at ground level.
The American town houses found in the Central Business District and Lower Garden District were built between 1820-1850. They are narrow three storey structures made of wood.
The Creole houses, the Shotgun houses, Double gallery houses and the California style bungalow houses were the real signatures of New Orleans architecture.
The water table is high and the houses are constructed as a raised structure.
