A nice experience in one's life time.....

It is a great move by India Government on 8 November 2016 that the high denomination notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 will no longer be legal. Prime Minister Modi really announced a 'decisive' war against black money and corruption. Care is taken by the authority to disclose a raft of steps to assure the common man that their money is safe. The new banknotes of Rs 500 and Rs 2000 would be introduced from November 10. The old notes can be deposited in banks and post offices from November 10 to December 30. Hat's off to the great and biggest move of banning the high denomination notes aimed in fighting the issue of black money in the country. The announcements accepting the OHD at Government hospitals and pharmacies, grocery shops, petrol bunks, for purchasing tickets for travel at Government. bus stands, Railway stations and airports within 72 hours after the notification were welcomed by the common man in the country.
As a visitor, now in USA, we reserved Rs 6000 with us to pay for the emergency needs when we reach back in Jan 2017. We entrusted our Indian Rupee with our daughter to get it converted. It is possible at airport exchange counters to purchase foreign exchange equivalent to Rs 5000 using these OHD notes per person with valid proof of holding the money.
All the support for the bold move by the Government of India for the surgical steps to fight Black money, corruption, terrorism and counterfeit currency with one single decision.
