Niagara on the Lake

Exploring Niagara-on-the-Lake
Niagara-on-the-Lake is the historical town in Ontario Canada located on the Niagara Peninsula at the point where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario across the river from New York. This is the only town in Canada that has a Lord Mayor. The attractions on tourist point of view are the Colonial-Style buildings, the Shaw Festival, wineries, Fort George and its proximity to Niagara Falls. This region has been rated among the best places to retire in Ontario and has the second highest percentage of seniors. The ride from Niagara Falls back to Toronto through Niagara-on-the-Lake was such a pleasant trip to cherish by visiting Queen Victoria Park, the hydropower station Queenston, Niagara Whirlpool, Floral Clock in the Locust Grove Picnic Area, Niagara Park Way to the Living Water Way Side Chapel, which is famous for being the Guinness Book of World record holder for the smallest Chapel, Walkers Country Market of fresh harvest of vegetables and fruits, home made pies, pastries, jam and jelly, Fort George, Niagara Park and Reif Estate Winery where we tasted wines are the places we explored. The trip was awesome to cover these beautiful spots with a dedicated guide. Should specially mention about the ‘ice wine’ a special desert wine we had tasted. Really interesting and informative trip ❤️πŸ™
