Today, 8th March, 'International Women's Day'. All the medias including newspapers, TV channels, radio programmes are covering, highlighting, appreciating, recognising, motivating and encouraging women and girls. Part of our library seminar we took part in the joint venture of Thaluk library and Thuravoor Charitra library at SNDP hall Thuravoor. About 300 plus women participated in the programme. Our Library President Smt. K. Droupady Amma, 83, was honoured for her dedicated services to the library continuously for the last 40 years. She is a role model to the womanhood. She is courageous, she is curious, she is confident and she is committed. The message she gave to us is, 'keep your mind out of fear, keep your mind out of selfishness, hold your head straight and stand on your on feet to enjoy freedom and serve the mankind'. No one can defeat you, you are the only one to let down yourself. Remember, the tortoise can move when the head is out. No doubt at all, put your head out to be bold for the change around'.
