Happy harvest of a banana bunch @ home and it’s news

Special time at home due to the Covid 19 protocol.Enough time to spend in our homestead garden. This time bringing out the special news bulletin of our Robusta banana bunch.

After flowering and blooming the inflorescence was plucked and cooked.

Now the harvest. Distributed 3 bunches to neighbors. Then also having a lot.

Thought of preparing main meals with the raw banana. Thus comes new dishes and new taste in my kitchen. Came out well and so happy to have the delicious dishes and finally the ripen bananas.

The dishes were

Plantain biriyani

Boiled plantain with onion chutney

Plantain meals on banana leaves

So happy to share with my friends.

Thank you 🙏

A small trip via Kochi metro after six months

The Covid 19 pandemic tied up all at home, especially seniors and kids. We , me and my husband, were back from Pune on 21st March 2020. After home quarantine, we went out only for essentials. Focused on the homestead and wellness activities at home.
Yesterday we need to go to Ernakulam. The Kochi Metro rail restarted on 7th September. We live close to the metro station, so decided to travel by metro rail. A nice and comfortable experience to share with my readers. The trip was so good and we are happy.
The highlights were,
1. No crowd
2. At the entrance sanitizer is provided.
3. Then the temperature recording.
4. Directly to the ticket counter.
5. Tickets from the machine and cash into the box.
6. Screening and up to the platform.
7. Train in 2 minutes.
8. Arrangements in the train is marked for sitting and if standing needed.
Nothing to worry oru on a other side the arrangements made are highly appreciable. Thanks to the Kochimetro authorities.
We enjoyed our short trip in public conveyance. The only thing is that we have to observe the Covid protocol and enjoy the trip in Kochi Metro.
A nice day with a lovely trip.

Bread butter jam.. all time favourite

All time favourite breakfast for me. That doesn’t mean that I won’t like anything else. I am a foodie. So love all the foods. Whenever I get an opportunity to have a buffet breakfast, first I grab bread butter jam sandwich. Then only go around. I am born abroad decades before. At that time no one from India to help my mom. May be because my mom gave special place to bread butter. I am still continuing.
During Onam we have extra work. To ease the day, usually we go for ready made breakfast. This Onam I had my favourite. So happy to share my nostalgia in my blog. A cup of milk along with a fruit, balance the meal.
